Sandy Knijf (1972) is a Dutch artist that works under the name of Fantasyatelier.
She started as an art therapist, but for 15 years now she is working as an artist, Mostly, she builds fantasyworlds and creatures and sometimes she paints them.
Her inspiration comes from nature.. there are a lot of weird landscapes and creatures in the world – beyond her wildest imagination. Visiting and finding these things on her travels is a goal for her ..
In her work she uses a lot a dried preserverd materials but also old stuff, like the most hideous lamp you can find on a fleamarket. All her work is one of a kind, even her Make your own-kits, as they are handpicked and the spheres in the package are painted by her.
